Who are GSM, the new operators of the course?

GSM is a highly experienced golf course management company that manages multiple golf facilities.

What is GSM's role?

GSM is responsible for all activities at Growling Frog including the golf course, clubhouse and all the golf operations.

What are the prices going to be?

There have no been no  significant  prices in golf prices although we are moving to a more streamlined pricing to keep it clearer and more simpler. There are some newer styles of yearly passes that will benefit many and be more enticing for new golfers looking to use the course.

When can I buy a new Yearly Pass?

Passes will be available from July 1st and there will be monthly direct debit options available. For those that have a pass that expires on June 30, don’t panic as there will be a grace period up till July 5.

My current Pass expires after July 1st, what happens with that?

Any one that has a pass that goes beyond July 1st will have that pass honoured until the expire date. Council has provided a complete listing of these players along with the date.

I have a voucher, will that be valid after July 1st?

No, we recommend you use any vouchers prior to June 30

What will happen with staff?

All catering and golf shop staff have been invited to apply for newly created positions. The role of Operations Manager has been advertised with applicants currently being interviewed.

Who will be giving the lessons?

The position for a PGA member to teach will be established once the Operations Manager position is filled.

Will Green Fee players and Pass Holders be able to book online?

Both green fee players and annual season pass holders will have the ability book online and is expected to be available a few weeks after changeover. There will be a brand new website and timesheet booking system.

I'm a member of another club that has been getting a discount. Will that still apply?

There appears to be a number of different user groups on a variety of deals. These will be simplified into one category- the Partner Pass member and will be available to all of our Partner Clubs. Watch this space!

What is the anticipated standard of course presentation?

When you visit the GSM website you will gain an understanding as to the quality of courses that we manage. Course presentation and enjoyment determines visitation levels and increasing visitation is integral for a successful business. The course will be maintained and presented at a level that ensures future growth and financial success.

Am I able to bring my own motorised cart?

In this day and age with a whole range of compliance and regulatory obligations, we are currently working through this and will advise when an outcome is achieved.

Will there be an annual motorised cart fee available?

Yes this will be in place from July 1st and will be priced to look after our regular players.

What is happening with the Growling Frog Club Memberships?

GSM have met with GFGC committee members and  are formulating plans to work towards a more efficient membership structure and operation over the next 6 months. It was a very positive meeting and will see benefits to both parties. In the meantime it will be pretty much business as usual for members come July.

What changes will there be to the Restaurant?

There will be only minor changes  to the daytime service as we analyse the requirements moving forward.The main focus initially will be on the lunchtime trade and catering for the golfer.

What will be the biggest changes I notice?

For the first time all clubhouse staff will be under the control of one company. All staff will be heavily orientated towards teamwork  with an expectarion of being able to work in all areas.
