It was smiles all round at this year’s Golf Day Out hosted by Ranfurlie.
Delivered in partnership with the City of Casey for the Southern Region’s 2022 Disability Inclusion Week, the event saw Ranfurlie’s state-of-the-art facility packed out with budding All Abilities golfers from throughout Casey, Cardinia & Dandenong.
Club Manager Andrew Weir said, “Ranfurlie are proud to be empowering our entire community to participate in golf. Golf is for everyone and we’re excited to be welcoming participants from throughout the region to experience our wonderful facility and have fun playing golf”. A sentiment shared by the team at Casey Council.
Golf Day Out attendees started their day on the Driving Range where they received hands on guidance from Ranfurlie Club Professional Ben Bunny before heading out on to the practise green followed by a delicious sit down lunch supplied by L’Arte Central.
Ben Bunny, who is also a PGA certified All Abilities coach stated “The golf club is all about inclusion and I have the privilege of getting to coach a lot when it comes to all-abilities. We are so happy to be involved with the council’s inclusion week and we can’t wait to host The Golf Day Out. Hopefully it can help create increased participation in the longer term.”
Overall the event was a great success thanks to the outstanding efforts of everyone involved. A special thank you to all of our staff, club professionals and the many wonderful volunteers who gave up their time to help ensure they day ran smoothly.
