GSM Golf to remain at Growling Frog Golf Course until 2029
Golf Services Management Pty Ltd (GSM Golf) are thrilled to announce the extension of our lease agreement with the City of Whittlesea for the ongoing management of Growling Frog Golf Course. This contract renewal marks the continuation of a successful five-year term and ensures that GSM Golf will manage the top-100 ranked public golf course until at least June 30, 2029.
GSM General Manager Scott Eduati expressed his excitement, stating, “Over the past five years, we have made significant strides in enhancing the facility and services, and we are excited to continue our journey at Growling Frog.”
The lease agreement extension is a recognition of GSM’s expertise as a highly credentialed operator of premium golf facilities. During the initial 5-year term Growling Frog achieved numerous milestones including a notable improvement in the course’s rankings. Thanks to the consistent delivery of a high standard of course conditioning, Growling Frog’s Top 100 ranking jumped 20 places to become the 75th best public access course in Australia.
Significant improvements at the venue have included the introduction of a brand-new fleet of GPS golf carts, upgrades to cart paths, the rebuilding of 40% of the bunkers on the course, and the expansion of the driving range with a new hitting pad. In partnership with the City of Whittlesea we have enhanced local golf initiatives including programs for older adults, women and those new to the game, as well as upgrading the café, restaurant furniture and signage. Additionally, GSM has achieved an incredible improvement in the facility’s financial performance, ensuring a sustainable and thriving future for Growling Frog Golf Course.
Looking ahead, GSM are committed to further enhancements. Plans include giving the clubhouse a refresh with internal and external repainting, installation of new carpets and blinds, and continued drainage and irrigation works which would not be possible without the tremendous support of City of Whittlesea.
