Former GSM Golf ambassador Lucas Herbert has continued his outstanding season with a record-breaking victory at LIV Golf UK, finishing 30-under-par to win by six shots.

Australian golfer Lucas Herbert has continued his impressive run of form with a dominant victory at LIV Golf UK.

The 30-year-old finished the tournament at a record 30-under-par, closing with a bogey-free 62 to win by six shots. Across four rounds, Herbert recorded 30 birdies and two eagles, setting new LIV Golf records for the lowest tournament score and most birdies in a single event.

The victory earned Herbert approximately A$5.7 million and was his second LIV Golf title of the season, following his win in Virginia in May. It also came just one week after an outstanding performance at The Open Championship, where he finished tied sixth and matched the lowest round in men’s major championship history with a second-round 62.

Herbert’s success holds a small historical connection for GSM Golf. Early in his professional career, he was a GSM Golf and Peregian Golf Course ambassador while based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Although that association concluded some years ago, it has been wonderful to watch his progression from a promising young Australian golfer to a multiple winner on the international stage.

Congratulations to Lucas on another exceptional achievement.
