Hidden Valley Resort welcomed more than 1,000 visitors to its recent Open Day, transforming the resort into a vibrant hub of community activity from morning through to the afternoon.
The event was designed to open the doors of the resort to the wider community — and the response was overwhelming. With many attendees visiting for the first time, the day provided a valuable opportunity to experience the breadth of facilities on offer, from golf and tennis through to hospitality and family recreation.
Across the precinct, guests enjoyed golf and tennis clinics, access to the driving range and short course, pickleball, live music, and a dedicated family zone featuring a petting zoo, jumping castle, face painting and popcorn. The consistent foot traffic and energy across the site reflected strong local interest and engagement.
A key initiative launched on the day was the new Flexi Golf Pass Membership, providing 50% off full-price green fees seven days a week (excluding competition times). Congratulations to Jackie Knight and Steve Kline, who each won a Flexi Golf Pass membership, and to young rising star Mackenzie Gomez, who claimed the driving range clamshell challenge prize after hitting the target and being drawn as the winner.
The success of the Open Day was made possible through strong collaboration between the Hidden Valley Resort team and GSM Golf, supported by The Grove and La Dimora teams and a range of external activity providers. The course and resort surrounds presented beautifully, providing an impressive backdrop for the day’s activations.
Beyond the numbers, the event achieved its broader objectives — strengthening community connection, showcasing participation pathways in golf and tennis, and creating meaningful engagement opportunities across the resort.
Welcoming more than 1,000 visitors through the gates represents a significant outcome and reinforces the value of well-executed community activation in driving awareness, participation and long-term growth for managed venues.
